Disneyland FastPass Tickets to Reduce Waiting Time

So that you don’t have to wait to go on all of the rides at Disney World, it’s a great idea to look into buying Disneyland FastPass tickets.

Disneyland FastPass was introduced by Disney just before the millennium with the aim of reducing waiting times for those wanting to visit various popular rides around the park. All you need to do is purchase your FastPass ticket from the attraction you want to go on, and then to return to the ride within the time specified. There may still be some sort of queue at the ride for FastPass holders, but it is generally much shorter then the regular line. Also note that not all rides have the FastPass option.

Where available I’d recommend purchasing FastPass tickets, especially if you are visiting the resort during peak season. Having planned your Disneyland vacation, you don’t want to get there only to have to stand in long lines all day.

Although this will mean that your Disneyland vacation may cost a little more, it will mean that you can see more of the rides and attractions and have a more fulfilling trip. For example, rather than getting to a ride and then waiting in line for some time, you could buy a FastPass ticket from the machine next to the attraction and then head off to another ride until your allotted time. Make sure you don’t get carried away on the other rides too much though; you won’t want to miss your allocation.

Disneyland currently has the FastPass option available for a number of rides, including:
Splash Mountain
Roger Rabbits Cartoon Spin
Space Mountain
Indiana Jones
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Buzz Lightyear
Autopia

You will need your Disneyland ticket to buy FastPass tickets on any of these rides which is why it so important to keep your ticket safe. I’d recommend you buy a FastPass holder which can be worn around the neck and are very cheap to buy. It’s also a good idea to purchase one even if you don’t buy any FastPasses so that you can keep your Disneyland ticket safe - if you lose it you will not be able to enter the park the following day. The cost of buying a FastPass holder easily outweighs the cost of possibly having to buy another ticket to get into the park should you lose one. If you had managed to buy Disneyland discount tickets online or via a travel agent, you could end up paying more than you had originally paid for your ticket now that you have no other choice than to buy at the Disney World resort itself!
