Disneyland Vacations for Kids

Disneyland vacations are often planned with kids and toddlers in mind. Even now (some years, ok decades later!) I can still remember my Disneyland vacation. Why? Well what kid’s dream isn’t to go to Disney World!

Funnily enough there are things that I can’t remember which highlights the areas that can save you money when planning Disney vacations for you and your family. For example, I can remember the rides, attractions, fireworks, and seeing characters such as Mickey Mouse but I can’t clearly remember the hotel that we stayed in or the restaurants that we ate it. This is because these areas weren’t important to me, I just wanted to see the attractions and go on the rides. This is certainly something to consider when planning your vacation as you may decide that you do not need to spend as much as you thought on your family Disney vacations as much of it may not be a priority for your child.

Airlines have cut travelling costs down a lot over recent years, which makes Disney family vacations possible for many. You can now travel to Disney far cheaper than in the past. Depending on your budget you may then even choose to travel to Disney World resort much further away. After all you have Anaheim in California, Florida, Hong Kong or a Paris vacation all to choose from.

In the past you may have had to endure the travel by road option (are we there yet!) but luckily air travel can save us the hassle of driving, and can also save a lot of time. This also cuts down on the children complaining that they’re hungry or bored (usually both!).

It’s a good idea that you book your flight as early as you can. You will often be able to find the best family vacation deals by booking months in advance through a travel agent or online. It never hurts to start looking early. A travel agent may also be able to recommend which airline is “kid friendly”. Different airlines will offer varying activity packs for children and meal options.

Although the cost of airtravel is relatively cheap nowadays, you also need to consider the time it will take to travel. The longer your travel time the more likely you will be jet lagged when you arrive. With this being said, it is better to arrive at your destination in the late evening to encourage sleep.

When you are ready to book the travel arrangements for your Disneyworld family vacation, ensure that your seats are located next to each other on the flight. After all, you don’t want your children having to sit away from you for a long or even short travel.

Once your flight is arranged you may be able to print your boarding passes online or at a kiosk at the airport. If you can make sure you do this so that you don’t have to wait in long lines with your kids.
