Disneyworld Vacations for Toddlers
Traveling with toddlers can be tricky at the best of times so make sure you plan ahead to try and save yourself unnecessary problems.
Some airlines will allow you to book your seats in advance so as long as you book seats next to each other you should be fine. However, some airlines (especially cheaper ones) won’t allow booking your seats until you check in. You will be assigned seats so you will need to arrive at the check in as early as possible if you have toddlers or babies.
Depending on which Disneyland resorts you have chosen you may have a long air journey ahead of you so it is important to either book your seats, or arrive early if this is not possible.
When you are all sorted on your air travel arrangements, it’s time to focus on what you need to pack. If you regularly travel you’ll know how much of a pain it can be to carry heavy luggage, and conversely you’ll know what it’s like if you’ve traveled ill-prepared.
Take a read through any travel guides you may have from booking your airline tickets. This should detail what you are allowed to take with you and what you are not, and also tell you information such as weight restrictions for your baggage.
Remember that you may be buying many gifts and memorabilia from your Disneyworld vacation that you’ll be bringing back more than you take to travel with you. Disneyland resorts have some great stores and your children will love many, if not all of the toys and games that they sell. Pack lightly to comply with airline requirements. Make sure you take any essentials with you that you might need for your babies or toddlers and keep them in your hand luggage in case you should need them whilst traveling. Hand wipes, snacks and drinks for instance.
It’s also good if you allow your children to choose some of the items that they wish to take on the trip. Perhaps their favorite clothes, crayons, and a few quiet games that will keep them occupied whilst on the flight. Consider packing a few books into your own hand luggage as backup, just in case the children run out of things to do and become restless.
If you’ve traveled with your children before you’ll know that it can be somewhat of a challenge, but also bring a lot of joy to know that they are going to enjoy the vacation. Rather than cause a few headaches a bit of planning can make your family’s travel to disneyland enjoyable.
